NOVACARE REHABILITATION AND ROCKTAPE TO HOST EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS FOR AREA RUNNERS
NovaCare and RockTape to be Presenting Sponsors of the Burning River Endurance Run & Relay
Stow, OH: NovaCare Rehabilitation and RockTape are pleased to announce a partnership as presenting co-sponsors of the Burning River Endurance Run & Relay on July 28, 2018. In celebration and preparation of the event, NovaCare and RockTape are hosting educational seminars and an online video series focusing on athletic performance and injury prevention and rehabilitation for race participants and the public.
Hosted by Western Reserve Racing, the Burning River Endurance Run & Relay is a 100- and 50 mile solo run and 100-mile relay held in Northeast Ohio. The race travels through several of the region’s scenic areas, and is a Western States, Midwest Grand Slam of Ultarunning and UTMB® qualifying race.
The educational seminars are open to all endurance athletes and runners leading up to the Burning River event. NovaCare physical therapists, athletic trainers and physical therapy assistants will focus on topics such as soft tissue considerations, improving core strength and control, dry needling and functional movement assessments. NovaCare’s team will also feature RockTape products for performance, pain, flexibility and mobility for both training and competition at the seminars.
The complimentary educational seminars will be held on the following dates at a neighborhood NovaCare Rehabilitation center:
– April 22 from 7 to 9 p.m. – Soft Tissue Considerations for the Endurance Athlete – hosted at 3903 Darrow Road in Stow
– April 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. – Improving Core Strength & Control to Increase Performance and Decrease Inefficiencies – hosted at 23550 Center Ridge Road in Westlake
– May 31 from 6 to 8 p.m. – Benefits of Dry Needling for the Endurance Athlete – hosted at 803 East Washington St., Suite 130, in Medina
– June 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. – Proper Footwear and Injury Prevention for Runners with Chelsea Lynn, P.T., DPT and Dr. Kimberly Kemper, DPM– hosted at 1033 E Turkeyfoot Lake Rd in Akron
– June 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. – Movement Assessments for the Endurance Athlete with DorsaVi and Fusionetics– hosted at 731 Beta Drive in Mayfield Village
