COVID-19 GUIDELINES – PARTICIPANTS
- During registration, you will be asked to pick a start time. We will have staggered starts to reduce the number of people at the start line at a given time.
- We prefer you to pick up your bib at Vertical Runner Hudson or Brecksville the week prior to the race date during Store Hours. We will have limited race day packet pickup.
- Remain in your car until 20 minutes prior to your assigned start time.
- Upon entering the race venue, you must wear a mask. Your mask should stay on until AFTER you cross the start line and when you are not actively running.
- Do not approach our staff, volunteers, or participants without a mask on!
- Please wait in the designated staging area. There is plenty of room to remain socially distanced. We will call you to the start line when we are ready.
- The start line will be marked for each participant to have their own position. Even if you are from the same family, please line up on separate starting positions.
- There will be a timing mat at the start. When your group starts, we ask that you maintain social distance from the person in front of you as you make your way up to the timing mat. Each participant will receive their own start time. The timing system will beep and that will be your notification that you have started the race.
- At aid stations, you must take whatever is provided “to go.” No standing at an aid station without a mask on. We encourage you to carry your own water.
- Spectators are not permitted at the event.
- Maintain social distance and do not congregate.
- Wear a mask when social distance cannot be maintained and when you are not actively running.
- There will be no awards ceremony. If you win an award, it will be shipped to the address you provided during registration.
- Please conduct symptom checks every day, including race day. Health Screening Questions
- Please do NOT come to the race:
- If you have symptoms
- If you tested positive for COVID-19 and are still in quarantine period
- If you have been in close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19, or is reasonably suspected of having COVID-19, in the last 10 days (or 7 days with a negative test)
COVID-19 GUIDELINES – VOLUNTEERS
- Practice social distancing when possible.
- Face coverings (masks) should be worn by aid station volunteers at all times and by other volunteers in situations where social distance cannot be maintained.
- Sanitizing spray will be provided and used with paper towels at aid stations to clean all tables and fluid containers at least every hour (and as often as desired).
- Hand sanitizer will be provided at aid stations for volunteers and runners.
- Volunteers should avoid switching tasks when possible to reduce cross contamination concerns. Increase sanitization and handwashing if changing tasks is necessary.
