Anthony Russo is…here’s his story.
“I want to inspire people to look within themselves and push the limits of what they think they can accomplish. We always surprise ourselves when we do.”
Anthony Russo is a 39 year-old from Jackson, New Jersey, gearing up for his first official 100 mile ultramarathon at Burning River. In 2013, Anthony completed his first ultra, the JFK 50 miler, after a staph infection left him unable to run for four months. Last year, Anthony connected with a team of filmmakers documenting Ryan Donnelly’s attempt to run the entire length of New Jersey after a major health scare. While Running the 184, Anthony met several Burning River veterans, including local champions Connie Gardner and Mark Godale, and logged over 100 miles in the New Jersey Run. Check out the film, set to release later this year, at www.1eight4.com, and look for Anthony at the 100 mile finish line in Cuyahoga Falls – around 22 hours in!
